Your body and mind are always in conversation—healing begins when we learn to listen.

I became a counselor because I know what it’s like to feel lost in the process of healing — to want understanding, not just answers.

Therapy, for me, is about walking beside others as they find their way back to themselves. It’s about creating a space where people feel safe, seen, and deeply supported as they navigate life’s pain, patterns, and possibilities. My purpose is to help others rediscover their strength, reconnect with their bodies, and realize that healing is possible — even when the path looks different than they imagined.

ABOUT ME & MY WHY

What I Hope for the Future

As I continue to grow in both my personal and professional journey, my vision for Oak Therapy & Wellness is to expand the ways I can support individuals in achieving whole-body healing. Upon completing my Terrain Certificate program, I will be able to integrate this advanced training with my background in mental health to help clients address the deeper connections between emotional well-being and physical health.

My goal is to guide clients toward understanding how lifestyle, nutrition, environment, and emotional balance all play vital roles in overall wellness. By combining the principles of terrain-based healing with therapeutic insight, I hope to offer a truly comprehensive approach—one that honors the body’s innate ability to restore itself when given the proper care, awareness, and support.

This next step represents not only a professional milestone, but a continuation of my commitment to holistic, integrative healing. I look forward to walking alongside clients as they cultivate balance, vitality, and connection within every part of themselves.

Welcome to Oak Therapy & Wellness, a space created for healing, growth, and self-discovery. My practice is grounded in the belief that true wellness begins when we honor the connection between the mind, body, and spirit. Through integrative mental health, I blend traditional psychotherapy with holistic, evidence-based approaches that support the whole person—not just the symptoms.

Living with chronic illness for over 14 years has deeply shaped how I show up as a therapist. It’s taught me that healing is not linear—it’s a journey that requires compassion, balance, and patience with ourselves. This lived experience allows me to meet clients with genuine empathy and understanding, creating a therapeutic relationship built on trust and authenticity.

In my practice, I work collaboratively with individuals and couples to explore the deeper layers of emotional and relational patterns. My integrative approach weaves together mindfulness, attachment theory, nervous system regulation, and trauma-informed care to help you reconnect with your sense of self, improve relationships, and find steadiness in both body and mind.

Areas of Focus

  • Marriage & Couples Counseling – Strengthening communication, rebuilding trust, and nurturing emotional intimacy.

  • Attachment & Relational Work – Exploring early attachment patterns to promote healthier connections and secure relationships.

  • Trauma Therapy – Providing a safe and supportive space to process past experiences, release emotional pain, and foster resilience.

  • Individual Counseling – Supporting adults through anxiety, depression, chronic illness, grief, and life transitions with compassion and care.

At Oak Therapy & Wellness, I see therapy as a collaborative journey. My role is to walk alongside you—to listen deeply, to honor your story, and to help you reconnect with your inner wisdom and strength. Healing is not just about feeling better—it’s about becoming whole, grounded, and aligned with the life you want to live.

What changed my life...

Becoming an aunt changed my life forever.

Mikah's Light

Mikah was a radiant soul — full of joy, belly laughs, and kindness that reached everyone he met. He was gentle with animals, loving to his brothers, adored by his teachers, and a bright light to every friend he made. His laughter had a way of wrapping people in warmth; you couldn’t help but smile when Mikah did.

But beneath that joy, his little body carried unseen burdens. Growing up near cornfields sprayed with glyphosate and living on the standard American diet, his developing system was constantly exposed to toxins and processed foods that made his metabolic terrain more vulnerable. No one could have known that these daily exposures were quietly compromising his health — until the diagnosis came: non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

The months that followed revealed Mikah’s incredible courage. Even through the hardest days, he never stopped laughing, never stopped loving. He comforted others when they were sad, shared kindness freely, and met every challenge with a strength far beyond his years.

Just after his sixth birthday, surrounded by his family, Mikah’s body grew tired and he peacefully passed — his light leaving this world but forever shining in our hearts.

Since losing Mikah, our family has changed in profound ways. In his honor, we began to look closely at how we live, what we eat, and what surrounds us. We moved away from the Standard American Diet toward organic, dye-free, whole foods — food that nourishes instead of depletes. We learned about the impact of our environment, choosing cleaner options and living closer to nature.

This shift has transformed not only our physical health but our emotional and spiritual well-being. Our energy feels clearer, our minds calmer, and our hearts more at peace. Through Mikah’s story, we’ve learned that healing begins with awareness — and that love, once awakened, can guide an entire family toward a life rooted in truth, health, and gratitude.

Mikah’s light continues to lead us — reminding us every day to live gently, love deeply, and care for the earth that cares for us.
